How far is Ter Helme from the sea?
Only 800 metres away. Keep in mind that you walk to the beach by road, not the dunes.

Can I purchase tickets for De Lijn public transport at reception?
Unfortunately, this is not possible. You can purchase tickets at the Zonnebloem tram stop 1.4 km away.
